Development of the Web-Based Structure and Form Analysis System (SAFAS) for Architectural Education

This paper presents a collaborative effort among the Schools of Architecture and Design, Computer Science, and Education at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, to develop the web-based Structure And Form Analysis System (SAFAS) for the education of architects. The details of the software architecture, operations, and graphical user interface of SAFAS are discussed.
